Current update 06/08/2020

Our essential stores and services remain open

Following government direction, from Thursday 6 August, only essential stores and services will be open for you to shop for the products and services you need.

Essential stores that remain open include:

  • Coles
  • Toscanos
  • Fish Pier
  • The Butcher Club
  • OPSM
  • Specsavers
  • PT Leo Estate
  • Bakers Delight
  • Australia Post
  • Chemist Warehouse
  • TSG

Our cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and dining operators are open, serving take-away and home delivery.

  • Sushi Jiro
  • Roll'd
  • Subway
  • Sushi Hub
  • Muffin Break
  • Soul Origin
  • Thailander

All other retailers and sections of Victoria Gardens will temporarily close.

Some stores may offer contactless click and collect and delivery services. For more information about contactless click and collect please contact the retailer directly.

The health and safety of our customers, retailers, team and community is always our highest priority.

Our safety measures remain in place, to ensure our centre is safe for those who rely on the service our retailers provide. These measures include:

  • Physical and digital signage reminding customers to keep a safe distance apart
  • Increased sanitisation and cleaning of all customer touch points and high traffic areas
  • Hand sanitiser available in centre
  • Closures of playground and kids rides and the closure of massage chairs, until further notice

Please ensure that when you visit, you:

+ Plan your shopping trip and use the closest entry to the store you are visiting

+ Keep a healthy distance from other customers and team members

+ Ensure you wear a mask or face covering

+ Maintain good hygiene including washing your hands or using the hand sanitiser provided

+ Shop on your own where possible

*This excludes people who cannot wear a mask for a medical reason. You may be asked to provide documentation to support this to our team, or to bring that documentation along with you next time you visit us.

COMMUNITY UPDATE 28.07.20

We have been notified of a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in a team member at Coles. The team member’s last shift was on 22 of July and they have not been on site since.

Coles is assisting the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) including contact tracing. We have received no advice which indicates there is any risk to customers or retail staff who visited Coles Victoria Gardens. The safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers and the broader community is always our top priority and we will continue to monitor and act upon recommendations from our federal and state health departments.

As a precautionary measure, Coles has undergone a thorough sanitisation of the store, in line with the DHHS recommendations.

We’re changing our opening hours as we adjust to the unprecedented challenges presented by COVID-19.

From Friday 17 July, we’ll be open from 10:00am - 5:00pm every day. Please note that Coles, Kmart, Chemist Warehouse, Medical One and a selection of other speciality retailers may continue to trade beyond these hours. Centre Update 08.07.2020

**** These are difficult times for our community and our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team members and the broader community.

Following advice from the Victorian Government and the return to stage three restrictions, Victoria Gardens remains open for our local community to shop for essential and necessary products and services they need.

With stage three restrictions the following stores and services will temporarily close from 11.59pm 8 July for six weeks.

  • Gyms
  • Beauty therapy, nail bars and laser clinics
  • Cinemas and entertainment venues

Our cafes, food court and dining operators can again remain open with take-away and delivery services available. Unaffected stores and services remain open for your convenience, with physical distancing in place.

We continue to have stringent health and safety measures in place including increased sanitisation and cleaning of high touch areas and heat-mapping to help our team identify any busy zones in our centre. We will continue to monitor and follow advice from the government to ensure we remain a safe place to visit.

Is Victoria Gardens open?

Yes, Victoria Gardens is open for our local community to shop for essential products and services they need seven days a week.

Beauty services, cinemas and gyms are temporarily closed as of 11.59pm 8 July.

Our cafes and restaurants are again open for take-away and deliveries while you can’t dine in until mid-August.

Shopping centres are classified by the Victorian Government as essential as they play a key role in the community giving customers access to fresh food and groceries, household items, medical services and supplies and financial services.

Of course, we continue to have stringent health and safety measures in place including increased sanitisation and cleaning of high touch areas and heat-mapping to help our team identify any busy zones in our centre.

We will continue to monitor and follow advice from the government to ensure we continue to play an essential role in our local community.

What’s changed since the Victorian Government’s update on 7 July?
With the latest government update, our beauty services, cinemas and gyms are temporarily closed as of 11.59pm 8 July.

Our cafes and restaurants are again open for take-away and deliveries while you can’t dine in until mid-August.

**What is closed?**

Some of our retailers are temporarily closed including:

  • Beauty services, excluding hairdressers
  • Cinemas and entertainment venues
  • Gyms and exercise venues

**What are you doing to keep the community safe?**

Our focus remains the health, wellbeing and safety of everyone in our centres - our customers, our retailers and our retailers.

Of course, we continue to have a range of stringent and protective measures in place including:

  • Physical and digital signage reminding customers to keep a safe distance apart
  • Window signage and floor decals for our retailers to assist with communicating physical distancing measures
  • Floor decals and physical distancing reference points in key areas
  • Increased sanitisation and cleaning of all customer touch points and high traffic areas
  • Hand sanitiser at all entrances

  • Additional team members in-centre during peak periods, offering hand sanitiser and reminding customers of distancing guidelines

  • Zero tolerance on anti-social or disrespectful behaviour

Current Update 22.6.2020

Restaurants and Cafes

From Monday 22 June restaurants and cafes will remain with dine-in options for up to 20 people at one time, in line with advice from the Victorian Government. Stores will display the maximum number of customers who can be inside at any one time and will adhere to the strict distancing measures. A maximum group size of 10 people applies.

Culture and Entertainment

From Monday 22 June cinemas can reopen with up to 20 seated patrons per space, in line with advice from the Victorian Government,

Sports and Recreation

Indoor sports centres and venues can open, with up to 20 people per space, with a limit of up to 10 people per group/activity at any one time for those aged over 18 years old.

Trading Hours

We’re now open for longer to ensure you can safely shop for what you need. We know giving people more time to visit makes our centre safer for everyone, which is why we’re returning to our regular opening hours from Monday 1 June.

Our regular trading hours are:

Monday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:30pm

Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Thursday: 9:00am –9:00pm

Friday: 9:00am - 9:00pm

Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Sunday: 10:00am - 5:00pm

Reopening restaurants and cafes

In line with advice from the Victorian Government, we’re excited to see a number of our restaurants and cafes reopen from Monday 1 June, with dine-in options for up to 20 people at one time. We’re starting to see some positive signs and changes to government restrictions, and would like to assure you that we are staying up-to-date with the latest government advice, and are working hard to adapt to better serve our customers, retailers, team and community.

Our current trading hours are 10am - 5pm every day.

Following current government direction, some of our stores are re-opening, while others continue to be closed. While our food courts are closed and we’ve removed all seating, many of our dining operators and cafés remain open for take away and delivery.

Current Update 25.03.20

In these uncertain times shopping centres will remain open to continue providing you with essential household items, products and services that you need during this time.

Following current government direction the following venues and retailers are closed temporarily - beauty therapy, day spas, massage, nail bars, laser clinics, tanning and waxing salons, cinemas, gyms, entertainment venues and pubs. While our food courts are closed and we’ve removed all seating, many of our dining operators and cafés remain open for take away and delivery.

Our hairdressers are open with appointments limited to 30 minutes and the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies.

With these changes in place, please check our store listing or with individual stores for current opening hours.

Update 23.03.20

A number of our restaurants and cafes will be offering delivery and takeaway services. Please see individual stores for details at this time.

We continue to operate within Government and relevant health authority’s guidance, this includes current advice to close:
