Centre Update 08.07.2020

 These are difficult times for our community and our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team members and the broader community.

 Following advice from the Victorian Government and the return to stage three restrictions, Victoria Gardens remains open for our local community to shop for essential and necessary products and services they need.

 With stage three restrictions the following stores and services will temporarily close from 11.59pm 8 July for six weeks.

  • Gyms
  • Beauty therapy, nail bars and laser clinics
  • Cinemas and entertainment venues

Our cafes, food court and dining operators can again remain open with take-away and delivery services available. Unaffected stores and services remain open for your convenience, with physical distancing in place.

We continue to have stringent health and safety measures in place including increased sanitisation and cleaning of high touch areas and heat-mapping to help our team identify any busy zones in our centre.  We will continue to monitor and follow advice from the government to ensure we remain a safe place to visit.

 Is Victoria Gardens open? 

Yes, Victoria Gardens is open for our local community to shop for essential products and services they need seven days a week.

Beauty services, cinemas and gyms are temporarily closed as of 11.59pm 8 July.  

Our cafes and restaurants are again open for take-away and deliveries while you can’t dine in until mid-August.

Shopping centres are classified by the Victorian Government as essential as they play a key role in the community giving customers access to fresh food and groceries, household items, medical services and supplies and financial services.

Of course, we continue to have stringent health and safety measures in place including increased sanitisation and cleaning of high touch areas and heat-mapping to help our team identify any busy zones in our centre.

We will continue to monitor and follow advice from the government to ensure we continue to play an essential role in our local community.

What’s changed since the Victorian Government’s update on 7 July? 
With the latest government update, our beauty services, cinemas and gyms are temporarily closed as of 11.59pm 8 July.

Our cafes and restaurants are again open for take-away and deliveries while you can’t dine in until mid-August.

 What is closed?

 What are you doing to keep the community safe? 

Our focus remains the health, wellbeing and safety of everyone in our centres - our customers, our retailers and our retailers.

Of course, we continue to have a range of stringent and protective measures in place including:  

  • Physical and digital signage reminding customers to keep a safe distance apart
  • Window signage and floor decals for our retailers to assist with communicating physical distancing measures
  • Floor decals and physical distancing reference points in key areas
  • Increased sanitisation and cleaning of all customer touch points and high traffic areas
  • Hand sanitiser at all entrances
  • heat-mapping to help our team identify any busy zones in our centre
  • <edit as appropriate to your centre> Additional team members in-centre during peak periods, offering hand sanitiser and reminding customers of distancing guidelines
  • <edit as appropriate to your centre> Automated, regular public announcements centre-wide, communicating distancing expectations
  • Security officers, in high visibility vests, are monitoring our centres, together with supporting local police to enforce social distancing requirements as appropriate
  • Zero tolerance on anti-social or disrespectful behaviour
  • Precautionary closure of playgrounds, kids rides and massage chairs.

 

Current Update 22.6.2020

 Restaurants and Cafes

 From Monday 22 June restaurants and cafes will remain with dine-in options for up to 20 people at one time, in line with advice from the Victorian Government. Stores will display the maximum number of customers who can be inside at any one time and will adhere to the strict distancing measures. A maximum group size of 10 people applies.

 Please note not all restaurants and cafés will be able to offer a dine-in option. Food outlets with common seating areas, such as those located within our Food Court, remain takeaway or delivery only.

 

Culture and Entertainment

 From Monday 22 June cinemas can reopen with up to 20 seated patrons per space, in line with advice from the Victorian Government,

Sports and Recreation

 Indoor sports centres and venues can open, with up to 20 people per space, with a limit of up to 10 people per group/activity at any one time for those aged over 18 years old.

 Just a reminder, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team and community is to be our top priority. We’re continuing to take extra precautions to ensure our centre is clean and hygienic, including more frequent cleaning, and encouraging healthy physical distancing and good hygiene.

 We are committed to the safety of our community and will not tolerate unsafe behaviour.

 Distancing measures are in place across our centre to help protect our community from the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Practising good hygiene and keeping a healthy physical distance between individuals is our most powerful weapon in fighting this virus, we ask that all visitors do the right thing, adhere to these measures and use a common sense approach.

 

When you visit us you may notice the following precautionary measures which remain in place:

  • Automated, regular public announcements centre-wide, communicating distancing expectations
  • Security officers, in high visibility vests, are monitoring our centres, together with supporting local police enforcing social distancing requirements as appropriate
  • Precautionary closures of playground and kids rides and the closure of massage chairs, until further notice
  • Good hygiene practices

Trading Hours

We’re now open for longer to ensure you can safely shop for what you need. We know giving people more time to visit makes our centre safer for everyone, which is why we’re returning to our regular opening hours from Monday 1 June.

Our regular trading hours are:


Monday:                  9:00am - 5:30pm

Tuesday:                 9:00am – 5:30pm 

Wednesday:            9:00am - 5:30pm

Thursday:               9:00am –9:00pm

Friday:                    9:00am - 9:00pm

Saturday:                9:00am - 5:00pm

Reopening restaurants and cafes

In line with advice from the Victorian Government, we’re excited to see a number of our restaurants and cafes reopen from Monday 1 June, with dine-in options for up to 20 people at one time. Stores will display the maximum number of customers who can be inside at any one time and will adhere to the strict distancing measures.

 The safety and well-being of our customers, retailers, team and community continues to be our top priority. While we continue to serve you, we’re taking extra precautions to ensure our centre is clean and hygienic including more frequent cleaning and encouraging healthy physical distancing and good hygiene.

We’re starting to see some positive signs and changes to government restrictions, and would like to assure you that we are staying up-to-date with the latest government advice, and are working hard to adapt to better serve our customers, retailers, team and community.

Our current trading hours are 10am - 5pm every day.

Following current government direction, some of our stores are re-opening, while others continue to be closed. While our food courts are closed and we’ve removed all seating, many of our dining operators and cafés remain open for take away and delivery.

CURRENT UPDATE 30.03.20

We’re changing our trading hours to adjust to the unprecedented challenges presented by COVID-19.

From Tuesday 31 March, we’ll be open from 10:00am-5:00pm every dayPlease note that our supermarkets, discount department stores, pharmacies, medical centres and a selection of other speciality retailers such as Kmart may continue to trade beyond these hours. Current Update 25.03.20

In these uncertain times shopping centres will remain open to continue providing you with essential household items, products and services that you need during this time.

Following current government direction the following venues and retailers are closed temporarily - beauty therapy, day spas, massage, nail bars, laser clinics, tanning and waxing salons, cinemas, gyms, entertainment venues and pubs.  While our food courts are closed and we’ve removed all seating, many of our dining operators and cafés remain open for take away and delivery.

Our hairdressers are open with appointments limited to 30 minutes and the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies.

 With these changes in place, please check our store listing or with individual stores for current opening hours.
